Figure- Must Destroy (Mackai Remix)

Figure’s “Must Destroy” remix contest is now over and 200 entires have been submitted. My personal favorite is done by Mackai as he turns Figure’s drumstep orgy into a Moombahcore bomb. Only two winners will be chosen, one by the editors of, iBroStep, Bwomp, Got Bass Music and the other by the people. To vote for your favorite remix, heart the track on the contest’s soundcloud page. No matter who wins, there are a ton of awesome remixes we can enjoy for a while. Don’t forget, Figure is playing at the Electric Factory in Philly this Saturday for what should be a very sick night.

Kairo Kingdom- One Two (Original Mix)

While we don’t advertise Glitch Hop as one of our featured genres, this song is just too good to pass up and not share with all of you. “One Two” by Kairo Kingdom was released just a few weeks ago and has already reach #1 on Beatport’s Glitch Hop top 100 list. Released on Simplify Records, this song uses some pretty catchy vocals throughout with a super heavy bass line. I would suggest finding the nearest subwoofer and blasting this as soon as you can. Below is their other single called “BoomBox”, another gem.

Knife Party – Rage Valley EP

Its been a while since our last post, but we are coming back with a bang. Knife Party, a side project of Pendulum made up of Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, have been one of the biggest acts in the past year. They’ve put up some of the biggest tracks and Made Event was just announced they would play on the Main Stage at this year’s Electric Zoo in New York City. Nevertheless, check out their announcement on Twitter last week…

Knife Party: 2nd Knife Party EP will be out by the end of the month. Tracklist: Fuck Em, Centipede, Sleaze, Bonfire. EP is called…….RAGE VALLEY. (6 April)

Here are two tracks that will be on the EP + their live “Goat & Fire” mix from Miami…

ElectroPhilly News

Philadelphia Skyline – credit:

For the past few months, I have been actively updating this blog every week as a semester long assignment/personal experiment. The results have been staggering. Given my interest in this subject, I never doubted my commitment and hard work; however, the reception from all of you has truly been the driving force behind all the extra work I have done. In about four months, I have amassed over 126,000 views and dozens of followers on Facebook and Twitter. As my class is coming to an end, I have decided to continue working on ElectroPhilly and even expand the blog. In the coming weeks, the blog will focus more on the EDM scene as a whole as opposed to just Philadelphia. Still, local shows and festivals will be covered and hopefully I will be able to offer more of my own media into the articles. The name of site will also be changing, but there will be another reminder about all of this within a day or two of the change.

Of the 27 posts I have written, I have chosen the top 5 based upon my favorite topics and the most popular among all of the readers…

1. Fall Massive Recap: Videos & Photos

2. Excision’s “X Tour” Coming to Philly in 2012

3. Interview with Fratello: Refreshing, Jump Up Productions and Future Plans

4. Skrillex 10/8 + Wolfgang Gartner & Porter Robinson 11/25

5. Video Interview with DJ G-DuBB

On a more serious note, I would like to thank all of you for taking your time to view my site and articles. I never expected this kind of support and attention and I look forward to expanding this blog and giving you even more music and news. There will still be a few posts per week; however, most of my focus will be on expanding ElectroPhilly and getting it up as soon as possible. A very special thank you to all of my friends and family who have been a huge part the success of this site, but the biggest thank you goes out to the thousands of viewers who share my passion for EDM. Thank you.
